Just in its second year running the cultural and stylistic dynamism made Fashions of Multicultural Australia 2019 an astounding success. Various stalls featured some fascinating examples of current international fashion trends, as well as items of cultural and commercial significance to the partaking foreign embassies and consulates.
The participating embassies and Consulates showcased the creativity and artistry of brilliant designers from their respective countries. The designs and fashions of Afghanistan, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Kiribati, Korea, Pakistan, and Russia displayed by well trained multicultural models enthralled the audiences.
It wasn’t just about the Runway show of fashions and clothes. There were stalls of various cultural exhibits where you could sample Afghani dry fruit or take in the fragrance of Egyptian perfumes or feel the soft texture of Indian silks. Food trucks, mobile Bars, workshops, dress up and Diversity combined to make FOMA 2019 a unique event with a beautiful message. FOMA exists to integrate communities and foster social cohesion, whilst further strengthening bilateral ties with nations that make up the diverse landscape of Australia and it has achieved its purpose.
An absolute attraction that begs special mention is the costumes and clothes of the attendees. The clothes that the guests turned out in were mind-blowing. This was Sydney at it it’s elegant best!
