When you really love your curry, you will go to any extent to get it!
A bunch of British expats living in France will be getting their favourite Indian dishes delivered to them, in a chartered flight, all the way from England.
31-year-old James Emery, a British amateur pilot and aeronautical trainer based in the south western French region of Gironde, will be flying a single engine six-seater plane to Portsmouth in South England to pick up a special delivery.
A meal comprising chicken tikka masala, lamb balti, Bengal Naga chicken and vegetable paneer kadai, alongside rice and naan will be picked up and brought back to France for him and his friends.
"It's not the kind of thing you do every day," Emery told the AFP.

He says the curry on offer in France is too bland.
That is when he thought of fusing his love for curry with his aviation skills to offer a novel service which has been dubbed ‘Curry Air’ by local French media.
"We often go to an Indian restaurant in Portsmouth which I frequented when I was a student. When I told the owner I was disappointed with Indian food in France -- not very spicy to adapt to the French palate -- he suggested delivery by car," Emery told AFP.
"As I'm a pilot in my free time we said, why not by plane?"
The aircraft will take off this Saturday for southern England and pick up around two dozen curries from Akash in Portsmouth, each costing 36 euros ($43) -- delivery included.
"The owner will also make the trip with me," said Emery.
After a brief stop for customs formalities in Cherbourg, the plane will fly its spicy cargo to Bordeaux-Saucats aerodrome where it will be served up piping hot at a hangar to around 20 spice-loving customers, both British and French, in an "inter-cultural event," Emery said.
