The dedication of Nuruddin  Ahmed  goes to prove that in the world of Art there are no boundaries. Art can never be confined to a particular religion, race or Geo-Cultural boundary.

Being a Muslim dedicating his efforts to Hindu Durga pandals has created a stir among some sections of society. Speaking to 'The Speaking Tree' Ahmed avers, many people ask me why I make such idols as I am a Muslim but I want to tell that I have been doing this work since 1975. An artist has no religion and his only religion is to serve humanity.”

Ahmed began his work of Art with 40 artisans on 1st August and it has taken them two months to build the idol made up of 5000 Bamboo poles. It is set to go down in the Guinness book of records as the tallest idol of Ma Durga.
