It is believed that this new note is the strongest in terms of preventing counterfeiting. It is similar to A$5 banknote which is arguably the most secure currency note in the world.
RBA is preparing to release the A$50 in 2018 followed by A$20 and A$100.
New A$10 has many security features such holographic foil representation of a nib, sulphur-crested cockatoo and farmhouse with a 10. It changes directions when tilted.
There are raised bumps for security and accessiblity for blind users. Fluorescent ink is used on this note which is only visible under UV light.
