"He is a hero" said the parents of the young boy

South Australian police found Nischal Ghimire's body on last Friday from Adelaide's west beach boat ramp. Now parents of the young boy hailed Nischal as a hero.

"He is a hero" the young boy's parents praised 22-year-old Nepalese migrant Nischal Ghimire as they mourn his death. Nischal was a carer of their son. It is believed he died attempting to rescue the 10-year-old disabled boy from the water. 

According to the SA police, he was reported missing at about 12.30am on Thursday when he failed to return from Glenelg beach. Nischal Ghimire’s vehicle, a white Mitsubishi Colt, was found parked nearby on N Esplanade near Anderson Avenue.
Nischal Ghimire is of Indian appearance and was wearing a t-shirt, long pants and glasses.

An extensive sea, air and land search was conducted with the assistance of the police Water Operations Unit, PolAir, SES, Sea Rescue, police trail bikes and foot patrols before he was located this evening.
