Hitting the Bull's-Eye: Deepika Kumari equals World Record in Archery

PTI reports that Ace Indian Archer Deepika Kumari has equaled the world record in recurve event at the ongoing Archery World Cup at Shanghai.

According to PTI she equaled Gold medalist at London Olympics Ki Bo Bae's (South Korea) record by shooting 686 in the 72-arrow ranking round. Deepika Kumari who has earlier been World No.1 is currently ranked No.7.

Deepika has won several medals at the Archery World Cup and Archery World Championships. She has also won two Golds at the 2010 Commonwealth games (individual and team) and a Bronze at the 2012 Asian Games (Recurve team). However an Olympic medal has eluded her.

Deepika Kumari has been a recipient of the Arjuna award and has also been honoured with the Padma Shri.
