US media reported last month that 14-years-old Sikh boy was beaten near Kentridge High School. A video of this beating went viral. The clip was posted on social media website Snapchat. In the clip, a teenage boy punches another boy with a turban and knocks him to the ground.

Incident happened on October 26.

Child’s family, who declined to be identified, told KIRO-TV they fear the boy was targeted because of his religion and origin.
Victim’s father told KIRO, “I am feeling so, so bad because this happened with my son. I don’t want to see this happen again with my son or anyone else. I don’t want to see this.”

School officials however claimed that the incident was a continuation of classroom dispute.
Sushma Swaraj assured the family of all the help. “I have received the report from our Consulate in San Francisco. Our consulate is in touch with the community leaders and is also contacting the school authorities. We will provide all help and assistance as per wishes of the family," Ms Swaraj said.
