India is way ahead of Australia in broadband satisfaction: Survey

India is way ahead of Australia when it comes to broadband satisfaction. Ipsos Global Advisor has released a list of countries in which Australia ranks at number 28.

32 percent rate Australia's broadband quality fairly or very good. It is much lower than International average which is 56 percent. India ranks at number 4 in this list with 69 percent people rating the quality fair or very good, reports The Age.

The list is topped by Serbia where 74 percent people are very satisfied with their broadband speed. At number two is South Korea (73) followed by Colombia (72), India (69) and US (66).

Australia has gone down 6 percent from last year’s rating. In the list of 28 countries, it ranks last.

NBN roll out has been under criticism recently. A report by Telecommunication Industry Ombudsman revealed that more than 27,000 complaints were lodged about NBN services in the last financial year.

Many Australians feel that broadband needs higher priority, according to Ipsos survey. 46 percent said that broadband should be Australia's top infrastructure priority.
