After Indian Cricket team’s successful tour down-under, where Team India clinched their first-ever Test series win on Australian soil, the team is gearing up to face the Australian Cricket Team once again, this time in India.

Australia will play two Twenty-twenty international games and five One-Day International games against India over February and March, starting February 24th.

However, right before the series begins, an advertisement by Star Sports, the Indian broadcaster which will telecast the games live, has come out with a ‘tongue-in-cheek’ promo for series based on the memorable ‘babysitter’ exchange between Australian Test Skipper, Tim Paine and Indian wicket-keeper, Rishabh Pant.

It was the stump microphones which revealed the banter between rival wicketkeepers Tim Paine and Rishabh Pant in the Boxing Day test in Melbourne, where Paine joked Pant could join the Hobart Hurricanes BBL team and the Indian player could babysit his children then.

“Tell you what, big MS (Dhoni) is back in the one-day squad too, we might get him down to the (Hobart) Hurricanes this bloke, we need a batter,” Paine said while Pant was at the crease.

“Fancy that Pant, extend your little Aussie holiday. Beautiful town Hobart too. Get you a nice apartment on the waterfront.

“Have him over for dinner. Can you babysit? (Can I) take the wife to the movies one night, you can look after the kids?”

His wife, Bonnie joined in the joke, a few days later, when she posed with Pant and her kids and posted it on Instagram with the caption ‘best babysitter’.

The joke has continued. This time, veteran former Indian player, Virender Sehwag, is seen promoting upcoming India vs Australia series, with a ‘tongue-in-cheek’ reference to the babysitting saga.

In the ad, Sehwag is seen ‘babysitting kids’ dressed in Australian team clothes inside a dressing room where he quips they are ready for ‘babysitting’.
