35-year-old Brisbane resident, Sujith Nayar is in desperate need of a bone barrow donor.
On November 1st last year, he was rushed to emergency after he complained of chest pain. At first he thought, it was heart attack but the doctor suspected anomalies in his blood. On November 3, he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia Philadelphia Positive.
Since then, he has been receiving chemo therapy and recently completed his sixth round of chemo. However he needs a bone marrow transplant to be completely cured of cancer.
Sujith lives in Brisbane with his wife Aloka. He was born in Kerala and migrated to Australia with his family when he was merely two years old.
He has lived in Perth, Western Australia most of his life, before he moved to Brisbane for work. This youngest member of the family is an ardent Arsenal fan and die-hard supporter of the Indian Cricket Team.

He is desperately seeking a bone marrow donor and his family has started a Facebook Page to look for a match.

According to Sujith’s doctors, Sujith’s donor is more likely to be someone who is of Indian/Asian descent/ethnicity/origin.
However, the number of Indian and Asian registrants in national and international bone marrow registries is very small. The family has made a desperate plea to help raise this number so that a match for Sujith can be found.
