Mr Scott Morrison, who is in Japan for the G-20 summit, tweeted a selfie with Indian prime minister Narendra Modi. He added a caption in Hindi too.

"Kitna Acha Hai Modi (How good is Modi!)," Mr Morrisson said on Twitter.
Mr Modi, who has a cult-like following in India and among Indians living abroad, is also in Japan where the two leaders met.

The tweet had been liked over 30,000 times within a few hours. Over 8k people had retweeted it.

Many Indians shared the picture on their facebook pages and community groups admiring their leaders.

Narendra Modi reciprocated in Aussie-style. He said, "Mate, I'm stoked about the energy of our bilateral relationship!"
This is not the first time the leaders have expressed warmth on social media.

Both won the second term as prime minister in general elections in May and congratulated each other on twitter.
