Seven-year-old Aayaan Neil Aswan is a die-hard footy fan.
“I go for hawks,” the little guy says about his favourite Australian rules Football Team, Hawthorn.
Aayaan has been learning to play the game since he was five years old.
“He started going to Auskick classes in South Morang, two years ago,” his dad, Amit tells SBS Hindi.

The young man is hooked to the game.
“He loves footy. He has a huge collection of everything footy. Right from the team’s uniform to his bedsheet,” his dad says.
Aayaan was one of the young auskickers selected for the AFL broadcast. He was a special guest on Channel 7 during Round 10.

“It was Collingwood vs Western Bulldogs when Aayaan appeared on the broadcast and got to play with the players during half-time. He was absolutely thrilled,” his dad says.

He also was chosen to participate in the Grand Finale parade and got to present a medal to the winning team – West Coast Eagles, at the Grand Finale ceremony.
“As a young footy fan, when you get to meet the players, hold the trophy, it is an absolutely amazing experience. He can’t stop talking about it,” Amit says.
