Medical visa application arrangements have changed

The arrangements for applying for Medical Treatment visas has been changed. The department of home affairs has announced the change on its website.

From 28th August 2018, applications for Medical Treatment visas made by people in Australia will not be submitted as usual. Now, the applications need to be posted to the Brisbane office of the department of home affairs.


The statement released by the department says the new address is:

AUSTRALIA


The application can be delivered by courier service, to the following address:

Department of Home Affairs
Second Floor
299 Adelaide Street
Brisbane QLD 4000
AUSTRALIA

Earlier, the applicants were required to be sent via mail, fax or delivered by a courier service to the Canberra office in the Australian Capital Territory.
According to the department, the arrangements for Medical Treatment visa applications made by persons outside Australia remains unchanged.
