Dr. Ajay M. Gondane has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to Australia, a press release by India’s Ministry of External Affairs announced.
He is from Indian Foreign Service Batch 1985 and is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
Dr Gondane’s appointment was announced days after the current High Commissioner His Excellency Mr. Navdeep Suri was appointed as Indian Ambassador to UAE.
Dr Gondane has previously served as Deputy Consul General, CGI, New York and as the High Commissioner of India to Papua New Guinea.
He is presently serving as Additional Secretary (Political) in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
