Meet Mohali’s top cop, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) who owns properties worth Rs 152 crore, according to the latest property returns of IPS officers uploaded on Union Home Ministry website.
The Times of India has reported that his assets include a Rs 85 lakh commercial plot in central Delhi, a 1,500 square-yard vacant plot in Delhi’s Sainik Farms and a Rs45 crore land in Mohali.
An ‘uncultivable land’ in a village is his most expensive assest pegged at Rs 45 crore.
This revelation means that he has overtaken two Congress MLAs, the richest legislators in Punjab - Kewal Dhillon (Rs 137 crore) and Karan Kaur Brar (Rs 128 crore).
According to his submission, he has inherited most of the properties. Bhullar has given the source as "ancestral property flowing from grandparents" in many cases.
