Its been three days since Baby Sanaya was found dead in the Darebin creek in Melbourne’s North-east. So far Police hasn’t made any arrests.

Nikat had previously told Police that a tall African man, aged between 30-40 who wore no shoes and reeked of alcohol, snatched her child.

The Herald Sun has reported that just a week before her death, Sanaya Sahib was treated by paramedics. The report says an ambulance had been called in to treat the little girl for a seizure. The ambulance was at Baby Sanaya’s uncle – Habib Ali’s home in Perth St for several hours.
Her uncle, Mr Ali told reporters that while Sanaya went to hospital she was fine in the end. "It was nothing really.”
The Age reports that two adult males, related to Sanaya, are facing serious criminal charges. The Age reports that one is charged with serious family violence offences, including assault with a weapon.

The Age reported that Sanaya's mother Sofina Nikat, meanwhile has been moved out of her uncle’s home in Heidelberg and moved to a safe house. She is estranged from her husband, Sameer Sahib. The father was informed of his daughter’s death on Sunday.
Yesterday Habid Ali told media that his sister was receiving counselling.
"She's just disturbed and shocked, and she's crying a lot and she just doesn't know what's going on, she's in a hysterical state of mind," he said.
