A 15 year old who inspires to be a singer but has an orthodox father and a mother who is exposed to domestic violence. Though the Mother ( played by MEHER VIJ, bajrangi bhaijaan fame) tries her level best to help her daughter but have to face her scroundel husband every now and then.

Zaira Wasim gets a 5 pointer again after DANGAL in terms of performance. Her chemistry with her mother makes your eyes wet. Amir khan is a perfectionist and gives us lot of LOL moments playing the looser music composer Shakti Kumarr.
Insia’s ( Zaira Wasim) father played by RAJ ARJUN will make you hate him to the core. TIRTH SHARMA as Insia’s school friend CHINTAN is too good. His affection for her friend will make your heart melt.
Though the songs go hand in hand with the story but AMIT TRIVEDI fails to leave an impact this time.
Secret Superstar is not UDAAN or TAARE ZAMEEN PAR. It would have left more impact if 20 minutes short but you cannot miss this because it has a story to tell. Story about fighting for your passion and fighting for your freedom.
