Pawan Kaushal was the head priest at Anoushka-Virat wedding, the Times of India reported.
46-year-old Kaushal belongs to Sandhu Chatha village in Punjab's Kapurthala district. He told the Times of India he felt like "man of the match" at the celebrity wedding.
Kaushal was unaware that he was booked for Virushka's wedding.
"I had to drive 400 km from my home in Borgo San Giacomo to reach the venue. Until I spoke to Viratji's mother, who conversed with me in Punjabi, even I was confused," said Kaushal in an interview with the Indian daily.
The priest did not share many details of the ceremony with media but this assignment proved his 'once in a lifetime' moment. Suddenly, he has become a recognizable face in the Indian community in Italy.
