Pakistani cricket fans have demanded the International Cricket Council (ICC) ban international cricket in India after a stone was pelted at the bus carrying the Australian cricket team in Guwahati.
The incident took place after the visiting side defeated India by eight wickets in the second T20 to level the three-match series 1-1.
The seat next to the damaged window was unoccupied and no player was injured.
Aaron Finch tweeted a picture of the broken window, with the caption, “Pretty scary having a rock thrown through the team bus window on the way back to the hotel!!”
Assam's chief minister directed a probe, which resulted in the police nabbing two youths.
The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) president Himanta Biswa Sarma also apologized for the behaviour by the fans he tweeted. “Our deep apology. People of Assam never endorse such behaviour. We will punish the guilty.”
After the incident, cricket fans in Guwahati gathered outside the hotel and also at the airport carrying placards of apology to the visiting team.
However the same incident was severely criticised by some Pakistani fans who, on Twitter demanded that international cricket should be banned in the country.

Meanwhile, Indian cricket fans took to Twitter to apologise for the action of two culprits.
International cricket was banned in Pakistan in early 2009, after Sri Lankan team was attacked in Lahore. Since then, except for Zimbabwe and recently played one-day internationals against World XI, no international team has visited Pakistan.
The Australia India T20 series ended in a draw after the third and the final T20I between two teams had to be called off due to wet out-field.
Before heading home, Australian cricketer David Warner left a message for Indian fans and his Instagram post read: "Thanks India for hosting us once again. We absolutely love coming to your country and playing cricket. Sorry about last night Hyderabad but I hope to see you all again next year. 🙏🙏"
