PV Sindhu to be India's flag-bearer at Gold Coast Commonwealth Games

Indian shuttler PV Sindhu will be India's flag-bearer at the Commonwealth Games in Goldcoast which begin on 4th April.

Indian media is reporting that Indian shuttler PV Sindhu will be the flag bearer at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games that will begin in Goldcaost on the 4th of April. PV Sindhu won the silver medal at the Rio Olympics and is currently ranked No 3 in the world badminton rankings.

PV Sindhu has also once won a silver and twice won bronze medals at the Badminton World Championships. She was also a Bronze medalist at the Glasgow Commonwealth games in 2014. She has numerous titles to her credit including winning Korea Open Superseries, India Open Superseris and winning the Macau open Grand Prix Gold three times.

In 2014 Commonwealth games it was Olympic Silver Medalist Shooter Vijay Kumar who was the flas bearer while in 2010 it was Olympics Gold medalist Abhinav Bindra and in 2006 it was Olympics Silver Medalist Shooter Raghvendra Rathore who were the flag bearers for India.
