The Business and Skilled Migration Queensland (BSMQ) on Wednesday announced that they will not be accepting any more interstate applications for state nomination visas - subclass 190 & subclass 489.

The state government's official website states interstate applicants are no longer able to apply for Queensland state nomination.

For those who are currently interstate and would like to apply for state nomination, they need to meet Working in Queensland or Alumni pathway criteria.

This would require the prospective applicant to move to Queensland and meet any working requirements before submitting an Expression of Interest to BSMQ.

The criteria can be found at:

However, those who have already received an invitation and are an interstate applicant, BSMQ will still process their application.

BSMQ, though, will not be sending out any more invitations to interstate applicants.
