Can you guess who has made it to the top of Britain's annual rich list released in UK last week?

Mumbai-born property tycoons and brothers – David and Simon Reubens have claimed the top slot on 'The Sunday Times' Rich List 2016, as reported by BBC.

With a fortune of 13.1 billion pounds, they are on top of this list, followed by another set of brothers, again Indian-origin, Hinduja brothers at 13 billion pounds.

The Reubens own London Oxford Airport and London Heliport and in last year alone, increased their fortune by 3.4 billion pounds to jump to the top slot.

Hinduja Group honchos - Srichand and Gopichand Hinduja held on to their Number 2 slot from last year with an unchanged fortune.

Completing the top three is Warner Music owner Len Blavatnik, who has 11.59 billion pounds.

But if you are wondering where the prominent Indian businessman, Lakshmi Mittal stands, we have to tell you that he has slipped to Number 11.

Mittal's steel empire has taken a hit due to global industry crisis. His fortune which was a whopping 27.7 billion pounds in 2008 has now been reduced to 7.12 billion pounds this year. He was Number 7 on this list last year. This year, he has further moved down to Number 11.

"The guys at the top who are feeling the pain this year are often hit by a cocktail of plunging stock markets, low oil prices and the crisis in the steel industry - sometimes by all three," said Robert Watts, compiler of the 2016 list.

The UK has clocked 120 billionaires this year compared to 56 billionaires in India, 193 in China and 43 in Russia.
