Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s brother-in-law and Priyanka Gandhi’s husband, Robert Vadra has been trolled on social media for posting the national flag of Paraguay in place of the Indian flag in his tweet on voting in the Indian elections.
Delhi voted in the sixth round of the ongoing Indian elections on Sunday.
The Gandhi family based in New Delhi along with Priyanka Gandhi and her husband, Robert Vadra voted on Sunday.
On Twitter, Mr Vadra shared his inked finger with the message, ‘everyone must step out and vote’ and posted the red, white and blue Paraguayan flag.
Hours later, he appears to have realised the mistake, taking the tweet down and posting another one acknowledging his mistake.
‘India lives in my heart & I salute Tiranga. Using a Paraguay flag in my post was just an aberration.I very well know tht ”You all know it was posted by mistake" but u decided to” play up my mistake”, whn thr r such glaring issues to be discussed. It saddens me, but never mind!’ he wrote.
