‘One man... many lives’ is the tagline for the teaser.
Written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film is based on the life of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, with Ranbir Kapoor portraying the role.
Dutt, who has led an eventful life ranging from a successful film star to a convict who has spent years in jail, comes alive on screen in his many avatars.
Director Rajkumar Hirani said that Dutt has seen some scenes of the film and the 58-year-old actor is happy with the way the movie has shaped up.
“He has seen some scenes but not the entire film. But he has seen many scenes, the teaser of the film. We are working on it. When it is completely ready he would be the first person to see it. He is surprised and shocked that a film is made on his life. He has to absorb that,” Hirani said during an event.
The film stars Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt, Manisha Koirala as Nargis, Dia Mirza as Maanyata, Karishma Tanna as Madhuri Dixit, while Anushka Sharma and Sonam Kapoor have special cameos.
Sanju which is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, is set to be released on June 29.
