Bollywood legend Sridevi died due to drowning in Dubai on February 24th.
The entire Kapoor family had travelled to Dubai to attend family member Mohit Marwah’s wedding. However, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s eldest daughter Janhvi Kapoor did not travel to Dubai for cousin’s wedding as she was working on her debut film in India.
Little did she know, she would never see her mother again when Sridevi left for Dubai.
One week after losing her mother, Janhvi took to Instagram to express how she felt about losing her mother.

Janhvi posted an image of a message, which read: ‘There’s a gnawing hollowness in my chest that I know I’ll have to learn how to live with. Even with all the emptiness, I still feel your love… Every time I close my eyes, I only have good things to remember.
‘You were too good, too pure, too full of love. That’s why he took you back. But at least we had you.’
She added that her mum was her ‘best friend’ and her ‘everything’ in the message: ‘My friends always said I’m perpetually happy, and now I realise it was because of you.
‘I didn’t have to rely on anyone or anything because the only person I ever needed was you. You are part of my soul. My best friend. My reason for everything.
‘The imprint you left on us is so strong, it might must be enough to keep us going, but never enough to be fully whole.’
She signed off: ‘I love you, my everything.’
Sridevi was found dead in her hotel bathroom by her husband Boney Kapoor.
According to forensic report, the actress “accidentally drowned” in a bathtub.
Dubai authorities released the body three days later to the family.
Thousands of people including Bollywood stars turned up for Sridevi’s condolence meet in Mumbai before she was cremated with full state honours.
"Losing a friend, wife and mother of two young daughters is a loss inexplicable in words. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers and all of you countless fans of my Sridevi who have stood by us like rocks,” he wrote in a moving Twitter post.

BONEY KAPOOR REVEALS SRIDEVI'S FINAL MOMENTS
On Sunday, his friend Komal Nahta- a film analyst wrote a blog post on Boney Kapoor recounting the details of the death of Sridevi in a Dubai hotel.
In his blog titled ‘Aur Boney Kapoor Ki “Jaan” Nikal Gayi!, Mr Nahta wrote that this conversation took place on Wednesday before Sridevi’s last rites.
According to Boney, he wanted to surprise her so he told his jaan that he was going to be busy in a meeting for the next few hours and that his phone might be switched off, so she shouldn’t panic.
“He promised to call her back as soon as he was free from the meeting. The plan was to surprise her in her room at the Jumeirah Emirates Tower Hotel.
“Boney reached the Dubai hotel at around 6.20 p.m., Dubai time, soon after landing in Dubai. The couple hugged, kissed and chatted for almost half an hour.
“Boney then got up to freshen up. Once out of the bathroom, he suggested, the two go for a romantic dinner,” reads the blog post.
It was after this Sridevi decided to go for a bath.
“I went to the living room while Sridevi went to the master bathroom to bathe and get ready.”
In the living room, Boney surfed channels to watch the South Africa-India cricket match but after spending around four or five minutes doing that, he chanced upon another channel which was showing the Pakistan Super League cricket match highlights.
He watched the match for around 15-20 minutes but was beginning to get restless thereafter because he was aware that being a Saturday, there would be a rush in the restaurants.
“It was around 8 p.m. when Boney’s impatience made him shout out to Sridevi from the living room itself. After calling out to her twice, Boney lowered the volume of the TV set. Still no reply. He then walked to the bedroom and knocked at the bathroom door and even called out to her.
“He panicked and opened the door which had not been bolted from inside, nervous but yet not at all prepared for what he was going to see. The tub was full of water and Sridevi was immersed completely, from head to toe, inside the tub. Devastated, he reached out to her but watching her motionless, he feared the worst.
“Sridevi had drowned! Boney’s world had come crashing down.”
Sridevi’s ashes were immersed in the sea off Rameswaram by her husband, Boney Kapoor accompanied by their daughters, Janhvi and Khushi.
