Recipe: Noni Sachdeva
Ingredients
- 500gm cooked chicken tikka (chopped)
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2tsp Sugar
- 1 ½ tsp instant yeast
- 3 cups maida (plain flour)
- 1tsp salt
- 2tsp sugar
- 2tbsp butter at room temp
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 egg wash (1 beaten egg with splash of cold water)
- 2tbsp black sesame seeds
Method
- Take a cup of warm milk, add 1tsp sugar and mix.
- Add instant yeast, mix, cover and rest for 5 mins.
- Take a bowl.
- Add maida, salt, another 1tsp sugar, butter, egg and mix.
- Add the yeast mixture, mix and knead into dough.
- Knead for about 5 mins, cover and rest for 2 hours.
- The dough will rise after its been rested.
- When ready cut the dough into portions.
- Make round balls and fill the balls with the chopped chicken tikka.
- Roll into balls and lay on the baking paper lined on ta baking tray and leave it to rest for 30 mins.
- Make sure to leave enough space between the balls, as they will rise.
- Brush the egg wash on the rolls and sprinkle black sesame seeds on the rolls.
- Bake at 200 degrees for 25 mins in the oven.
- Once ready brush some butter on top.
- Let it cool before serving.
