A graphic image of an injured woman, with her clothes shred apart, blood oozing from her head and seen weeping has now become the face of the Brussels terror attacks.

This injured woman has been identified as Mumbai resident Nidhi Chaphekar who works as flight manager with Jet Airways. Nidhi was reporting to work and was at the Brussels airport to join the rest of the crew for a flight to Newark, US, when she became the victim of this gruesome terror attack.

This graphic image of her was shared by millions on social media as the word spread around about the terror attacks in Brussels.
Jet Airways, which is based in Brussels and Mumbai, told the Indian media: “She was waiting to board a flight from Brussels to Newark at 10.15am local time. She is a cabin crew member. We don’t have full information on the extent of her injuries. We know her location — she is in hospital and receiving medical care.”
A male colleague of Nidhi, Amit Motwani, too was injured and has suffered slight eye injuries.
An official statement from the airline said:
Indian Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj tweeted saying that Indian Ambassador in Brussels was attending to the injured in the hospital.
