The Gulf News reported that Suchetha would attempt to sing in 85 languages on December 29th in an attempt to break a world record in singing in most languages.

Suchetha Satish is a grade seven student of The Indian High School in Dubai. She can sing in 80 languages and learning in five more. It took her a year to learn all these songs.

Suchetha hails from Kerala in India. She already knew songs in Indian languages such as Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil. Last year she started singing in other languages after listening one of her father’s friends singing in Japanese.
"My father's friend, a Japanese dermatologist, came to Dubai a year ago. When she came home, she sang a Japanese song. I liked it very much and learnt it," Suchetha told The Gulf News.

She found French, Hungarian and German the most difficult ones. "Usually I take around two hours to learn a song. If it is easy to pronounce, I can learn it fast. If it is not a lengthy song, I can finish in half an hour," she said.

The record Suchetha trying to break is hold by an Indian only. Kesiraju Srinivas of Andhra Pradesh made a record for singing in 76 languages in 2008.
