A vehicle has collided with a number of pedestrians outside Flinders St station.

A vehicle has collided with a number of pedestrians outside Flinders Street station in Melbourne. 

Many pedestrians have been injured after being hit by the vehicle. 

The incident has occurred near the corner of Flinders and Elizabeth Streets.

Many ambulances and police are present on the site. 

Victoria Police said, "Police are currently attending an incident on Flinders St between Elizabeth and Swanston streets where a vehicle has collided with a number of pedestrians. Police have arrested the driver of the car. Extent of injuries are not known at this stage."
