Naidu, addressing the gathering at the 11th Global Healthcare Summit, asked the doctors of Indian origin to return to India or give something back to the society, the Telegraph reported.
The summit was organised by the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.
Naidu told the audience, "I am really happy to participate... I am happy to come to the happy function to have a happy moment with all of you. But I will be more happy, and the people of India will also be more happy, if you people can come back, or otherwise give something back to the society."
"Because those days, the opportunities were very less, people had gone to different parts of the globe, but now everything is available in India," he added.
Naidu stressed there are enough facilities in Indian colleges. “I tell our children there are enough facilities in our colleges and IITs. Still, if you want to go, learn, earn and then return."
He said the governments should spend more on the health sector.
