News reporter Azadaar Hussain's unusual tv report on the flood situation at Kot Chitha in the Punjab province was posted online by GTV News before going viral. Hussain can be seen standing in neck-deep water to show the gravity of the floods.
Hussain has been applauded by many for his enthusiasm and dedication. Many reporters around the world have shared the video and showered praised Mr Hussain.
One Twitter user suggested a prestigious Pulitzer prize for the dedicated reporter.
"Pakistani reporter reports on flooding while neck-deep in floodwater. Hey @PulitzerPrizes, please give him a Pulitzer ASAP," tweeted Mr Jeffery.
Executive Producer, Ten News First, Perth Dougal Wallace described Hussain as 'Committed'.
"Committed: This Pakistani reporter was up to his neck in it while reporting on local flooding," he tweeted.
Many made the comparison with an Indian reporter covering floods in eastern India while sitting on a makeshift raft. In a picture, three locals can be seen pushing the makeshift boat.
It's not the first time a Pakistani reporter has made it to the headlines for his commitment.
In April this year video of another Pakistani reporter went viral. In the video, he could be seen standing in chest-deep water to explain the gravity of the floods.
Heavy rainfall has affected much of north-eastern Pakistan, triggering flash floods and landslides. According to authorities over 70 people have died in rain-related incidents over the past month.
The meteorological office has predicted monsoon currents are expected to spread to central and southern parts of the country over the next two days.
