A cow came to the aid of a young woman being stabbed to death by her father and uncle in Gwalior, India.
The young woman, Seema, was attacked near a shelter for women she had been staying at in Hazira, India.
It is alleged that the woman had runaway from her family.
According to police, she eloped with a 22-year-old man named Sonu, against her parent’s wishes in January.
Sonu had been arrested and sent to jail in January after being charged with engaging in a relationship with a minor, police said.
As Seema refused to return home and went to a women’s shelter, her father and uncle became angry.
The video footage shows Seema’s father and uncle viciously attacking her.
The duo stabbed Seema multiple times.
It is during this vicious attack that a cow nearby attacked the two men.
In the CCTV video clip, it can be seen that the cow continuously pounced on the two men.
The cow jumps on top of the uncle and father and pushes them away from the young woman.
Police said one of the attackers was injured following the cow's attempt to save the youngster.
Seema’s father and uncle ran away after this and the young woman did not survive the attack.
