A learner driver crashed her car into a restaurant at Dandenong, in Melbourne's south, leaving three people with minor injuries.
The Country Fire Authority (CFA) said the people were struck by the car as it went across the footpath on Tuesday morning.
Four people including two children were inside the car when it crashed into the restaurant. However, none of the passengers were injured.
The car, however, pinned an old woman before it crashed into the front of the restaurant and she has sustained hip injury. Another pedestrian too was dragged by the car and he sustained minor injuries.
An employee of the restaurant was cleaning the freezer when the car crashed into him. All the injured people were taken to Dandenong hospital.
The force of the impact pushed the shop front in by 70 to 80 centimeters, breaking the front class and damaging some furniture.
The restaurant owner told 7news that he was concerned about his business. “I don’t know how will the insurance work out and when will we resume business.”
