The West Indies Team is clearly on the moon. After all the setbacks faced by the team, the Caribbean Men as well as the Women’s Team lifted the ICC T20 World Cups, giving fans back home, double reason to celebrate.
After a night of celebrations, the West Indies captain recorded a personal message inside his hotel room to express how emotional he was after this remarkable victory achieved by their team.
In this video, Sammy says, “The women’s team and the Under-19 team’s world cup victories motivated them to do well.”
“I don’t know when am I going to be with them again in the dressing room, I want to tell them all that they are champions,” he says in the video.
He has lost his voice after a night of loud celebrations and yet he took time out and made the effort to record this heartfelt Thank You that he posted on Facebook.
He also blasted the West Indies Cricket Board in this live message for not supporting them or being there for the team during the World Cup.
He ends the video thanking the team fans and supporters for their unflinching support during the tournament.
