India beat Pakistan by 124 runs (D/L) in their opening match at Edgbaston, Birmingham on Sunday in the 2017 Champions Trophy.
A crowd of 24,156 – the highest for a one-day game in Birmingham – and a television audience of about one billion watched the first fixture between the two neighbours since the 2015 World Cup.
India put on a formidable score of 319/3 despite the game being interrupted by rain and being reduced to 48 overs.
Pakistan was all out for 164 in 33.4 overs.
Indian cricket team put on a stupendous show with top four batsmen registering fifties, with Rohit Sharma scoring 91, Virat Kohli scoring 81 and Shikhar Dhawan hitting 68 runs.
However, the Man of the Match went to Yuvraj Singh for his blistering knock of 53 off just 32 deliveries.
With the ball, Umesh Yadav led from the front scalping three wickets while Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja took two each.
