The United Arab Emirates now has the world’s most powerful passport according to the Global Passport Power Rank 2018.
UAE, who recently added four new countries to its list of countries with easy-access (read visa-free), now has access to 167 countries visa-free.
Singapore shares the number two spot with Germany while 11 countries which include France, Denmark, Italy, United States among others are on the number three spot.
The United Kingdom is at the number four spot with Canada, Greece and Japan among others with access to 164 countries.
Our Tasman neighbour- New Zealand is at the sixth place with access to 162 countries without a prearranged visa while Australia’s passport is in seventh place with Australians allowed to travel to 161 countries.

Dubai’s leader Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum welcomed the news on Twitter.
“Congratulations to the UAE and its people and big thanks to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s teams.”
Indian passport holders have visa-free access to 65 countries while Chinese passport holders have visa-free access to 75 countries.
