‘Australia can do better': Skills Minister Andrew Giles on India-Australia skill ties

The Australia India Business Council (AIBC) recently hosted an education event in Melbourne, featuring Minister for Skills and Training Andrew Giles, India’s Minister for Skill Development Jayant Singh, and Indian High Commissioner Gopal Baglay, among other dignitaries. Discussions focused on the future of skilling between the two nations, addressing Australia’s critical shortages in sectors like construction and food trades, and the challenges international students face in finding employment after graduation.
