China is pitching for a bigger slice of the Australian tourist dollar.
And vice versa.
Building on the free trade agreement, a bilateral tourism deal has been officially launched in Sydney.
The two countries will work side-by-side at promotional events throughout 2017, which they have named the China-Australia Year of Tourism.
Managing director of Tourism Australian, John O'Sullivan, says important steps are being taken to entice more Chinese tourists.
