Senior endocrinologist Dr Kunwarjit Singh Sangla, who migrated to Australia in 1999, has been awarded the Member of the Order of Australia (AM) on this year’s Australia Day. In an interview with SBS Hindi, he shared his personal and professional journey, reflecting on early challenges, the support of his family and community, and the values that have guided him as both a doctor and an individual. He also spoke about balancing his Indian cultural heritage with life in Australia, the motivations behind his accomplishments, and offered a message of perseverance and purpose for the next generation.
