The Federal Education Minister Jason Clare says there is an opportunity for Australian universities to open up campuses in India, following a relaxing of legislation in India around foreign entities opening offshore campuses. Eleven vice-chancellors from Australian universities will accompany Mr Clare on his trip to India this week to formally sign the deal called the Mechanism on the Recognition of Australian and Indian Qualifications.
