Despite setbacks, Deepika Paul carves her identity through idol-making

Deepika Paul is an idol maker from the north-eastern part of India. She runs a workshop called New Shiv Shankar Shilpalaya, where she creates clay idols of deities. After overcoming prejudice, personal setbacks and financial struggles, Deepika has built a livelihood not only for her family but also for several other families who depend on her workshop.
