Over the years, there have been high-level political engagements between Australia and India. Both countries have a shared vision for a stable Indo-Pacific region. Speaking to SBS Hindi, outgoing Indian High Commissioner to Australia Gopal Baglay reflected on the strategic partnerships developed across multiple sectors, as well as the surprising lessons he learned about Australian coffee culture. He also expressed hope for the active negotiation of the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) to expand on ECTA, focusing on critical minerals, digital trade, and education.
