Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has confirmed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming visit to Australia from 8 to 10 July. He said "I am honoured to welcome my friend Prime Minister Modi to Australia for our Annual Leaders' Summit." He described the Australia–India relationship as "never more consequential," adding that the partnership is helping foster peace, stability and prosperity across the Indo-Pacific.
