The federal government has announced new funding to expand the Witness to War hotline nationwide, following a sharp rise in calls after the Bondi terror attack. Originally launched in New South Wales to support refugees affected by conflict, the multilingual mental health service will now operate nationally. Experts say the expansion is vital to addressing trauma, preventing social fragmentation, and supporting young people and vulnerable refugee communities.
