A new global survey shows that social trust is rising in many parts of the world, driven by higher education and income levels. In this podcast, we look at where Australia stands, with 69 per cent of respondents saying they trust others, placing the country fifth among high-income nations. The study also highlights how age, education and gender shape trust, and notes that while trust has increased in countries like Indonesia, Australia’s levels have remained steady. We also hear what Australians themselves say about trust.
