How women in stand-up comedy are finally 'standing out'
Sukhjit Kaur Khalsa, Amna Bee, Moose Jattana, Kripa Krithivasan and and Daizy Maan spilled their humor on various topics like growing up brown in Australia to getting divorced and what not.
Daizy Maan and Muskaan Jattana recently performed at Melbourne's Brown Women Comedy where stories and stand-up highlighted many aspects related to the lives of South Asian women. They shared their experiences of defying the societal definition of what it means to be a 'woman' through stand-up, emerging leadership of women in comedy and why they can never be tagged as 'homely'.
