  • Incumbent BJP and JDU-led National Democratic Alliance secured a landslide win in the assembly elections in the East Indian state of Bihar.
  • The opposition bloc, consisting of the Congress, RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal), and Left parties, has blamed the loss on 'Vote Theft' done at the behest of the BJP and the Election Commission of India.
  • Widening its investigations, the NIA (National Investigative Agency) has arrested the alleged owner of the car used in the Delhi bomb blast incident.
  • Bomb material allegedly recovered from the terror module has killed nine and injured 32 people during forensic analysis in the Srinagar police station.
  • Team India has lost the first of the two test match series against South Africa by 30 runs.
