From cities to remote towns, Indian communities across Australia are marking Independence Day with vibrant cultural festivities. Often organised in collaboration between Indian consulates and local Indian organisations, these events serve as more than annual gatherings. Through parades, music, and storytelling, community leaders seek to pass on the Indian national anthem and recount the tales of the freedom struggle.
