David Balaban, who hails from Canada with Russian and Polish heritage, imparts sitar lessons to individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds in Melbourne. During a studio discussion with Itee Dewan, Mr Balaban reflects on his journeys to the Indian city of Kolkata to master the sitar and shares insights into how he navigates cultural differences when instructing his students.
