Australia’s new Aged Care Act took effect on Friday 1 November, promising more choice and better in-home support for older Australians. The federal government says the overhaul will make aged care simpler and more flexible, but industry experts warn it could also leave many people paying higher fees. To understand what these changes really mean, SBS Hindi spoke with Melbourne-based aged care provider Smriti Bagga.
